Snuggle Up With Sissy
Sissy is a 7 month old kitten who came to the shelter at the beginning of November, along with her two sisters after a good Samaritan found them trying to fend for themselves outdoors. One of the sisters was adopted, leaving Sissy and Ivy still in the care of the shelter. Both girls were quite frightened in the shelter environment and Ivy was battling pneumonia, so one of our experienced foster families took them in. Sissy has made wonderful strides with adjusting to her foster parent's home and, in fact, her foster parent now states that, "Sissy just loves attention and has become a real sweetheart and best love bug of all time!" Once you pick her up, Sissy adorably melts into your arms and will give dainty little cat "kisses," making her the perfect cat for a family who is looking for someone to snuggle with. Ivy is finishing up treatment for her pneumonia and is slowly learning from her sister that humans can be trusted and are a source of pleasant affection. Both kittens are litterbox trained and will be spayed and up to date on all of their vaccinations prior to adoption. Sissy and Ivy will remain in their foster home, rather than returning to the shelter, since they are more comfortable in a home environment. If you are interested in adopting Sissy, or would like to open your hearts and homes to both girls, please email Becki Meiss, Operations Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
