Skill, craft and individual passion turn effort into folk art.

Visit the Heritage Center Museum Store for locally crafted artisan originals.

Jim Murphy

Raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, Jim Murphy migrated to Lancaster County to pursue a higher education, but discovered
his art when a friend asked for his help in
refinishing some old furniture. Jim had been experimenting with wood carvings,
and introduced his own unique style of painting. Teacher by day and wood
refinisher by night, Murphy has developed
his skill for replication and applies his
signature style in creating pieces that excite and inspire.

Debbee Thibault

What began as a child using paper
dolls and Halloween costumes as a
creative outlet, evolved into the
imaginative art pieces Debbee Thibault now produces using a papier-mache compound. Every sculpture, a limited edition piece, is extraordinary in its
design and with the original story Debbee has invented to accompany
it. A certificate of authenticity is
presented with each signature design.

Amy Shultz

Amy Shultz, an ordained minister for over
30 years, has been recognized for her
paintings since 1995. Her pieces include traditional Fraktur-style script with unique folk-art motifs. The usage of antique paper and salvaged books in place of a traditional
canvas combined with watercolors, antique
frames and a special ink blend, impresses
a genuine vintage appearance. Fraktur
remains a primary source of expression in
her art and her faith, and Amy continues
to receive prestigious recognition for her one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
